The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the 22nd running of the FIFA World Cup competition, scheduled to take place in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022. As well as being the first ever World Cup to be held in the Arab world, it will also be the first World Cup to be held during winter months - due to Qatar’s intense summer heat.
The current champions are France, who won their second title at the 2018 tournament in Russia, beating Croatia 4-2 in the final. In 2018, the competition garnered over 3.5 billion total viewers - almost half of the world’s population - and 1.1 billion total viewers for the final match alone.
For many marketers, November and December signify an extremely busy time of year, with months of strategising and planning in order to maximise engagement, tap into the festive spirit, and boost sales.
Then comes along the first ever winter World Cup - taking place in temperatures of over 25°C without a snowdrop in sight. Although it may not fit in to the traditional marketing campaigns usually seen at this time of the year, the World Cup still presents a huge opportunity to engage with football fans and create brand connections through an event that only occurs once every four years.

The calendar can be designed to last as long as you like, wether it be a countdown towards the tournament, a daily countdown to the final, or a weekly prize draw - it's all up to you.
A firm favourite with any footballing tournament - the Score Predictor. Engage your customers or employees by offering a competitive game that anyone can get involved in. Our Score Predictor can be customised to include certain games, such as the group stages, or you can go all out and challenge everyone to predict the entire tournament.
An engaging and simple way of growing your mailing list, our Match The Flags game is a fun way to test your audience's memory. Users can be encouraged to enter their details before playing, and either receive an instant prize or be entered into a prize draw.
