The Brief

Debbie & Andrews is a sausage manufacturing brand, under the ABP Food Group. They have a simple philosophy. “To make satisfying and succulent sausages that deliver a real country taste.“

Driven by their passion to make award winning sausages, their strapline of “delivering a real country taste” extends beyond just the taste of their products. Debbie & Andrews support British independent farmers, as well as rural projects that aim to bring communities together.

The company approached Advent Calendar Online with a goal to make their 2016 Christmas marketing campaign their tastiest, and most successful new customer acquisition campaign ever. 

Debbie & Andrews wanted to run daily contests, offering customers the chance to win money off vouchers as well as free products . The idea behind this campaign was to increase their marketing database subscribers, across both social media and email marketing list.

We designed a 24 day calendar for Debbie & Andrews, housing a different giveaway behind each day’s window. Prizes included products from the Debbie & Andrews range including meat hampers to a year’s supply of sausages.

They also expanded their range of giveaways to include products that would appeal to their target market, such as products from The White Company and Hotel Chocolate. 

In order to enter any of the giveaways, Debbie & Andrews required visitors to provide their name and email address, automatically adding it to their marketing database.

Debbie & Andrews were able to attract over 60,000 visits to their calendar, obtain over 50,000 competition entries and grow their marketing list by over 2000 new customers. 

The entire campaign provided a great tool to attract new prospects, and drive them to engage with the brand by coming back daily.

Our first ever digital advent calendar was a great experience for us. This year was really to test it out and see if it’s something our customers would engage with - and they did! We’ll definitely be looking at running a 2017 calendar.
